Camp Michigania 2024
Located in northern Michigan, along Walloon Lake, sits Camp Michigania, the all inclusive summer camp resort for University of Michigan alums and their families. Camp Michigania hosts over 200 families for 11 consecutive weeks every summer. It provides a breadth of scheduled and self-guided activities focused on allowing guests to unwind and bond with their families while immersed in nature. In creating new graphics and apparel, it was my job to capture everything that makes this place a home away from home for thousands every summer.

While the symbols, colors and fonts are each retro, simple, and friendly, there’s still enough variety for every campers preference.

Vintage-Feel
Campers feel very loyal to their frequented areas at camp and it was important to include a design that highlighted the camp layout.
Geographic reference
Michigania lore tells the story of Cookie Man, Puff the Magic Dragon, Wizard and Uni the Unicorn — the magical creatures bring joy to campers of every age. While bringing these characters to life, it was important to leave room for imagination and interpretation.
